[teal]Name: Snowrain
Gender: She-cat
Age: 29 Moons
Clan: Heatherclan
Rank: Medicine Cat
Description: A small white she-cat, she has paws that are a smokey gray while the rest of her body is a frosty color, like snow. Blue eyes stare at you, and they are a color similar to that of the Green-leaf sky. Bright and sunny.
Her tail is longer than most, so she is excellent at balancing, though it gives her a rather unproportional appearance.
Summary: Small white she-cat with blue eyes
Personality: Calm and collective, Snowrain is an intelligent cat who is capable of great patience and passion. Though she has trouble saying 'No' to other cats, she is also a very caring she-cat, and she can not stand when anyone is looked down on or treated differently because of their background.
Understanding of others, Snowrain knows what it is like to feel emotional pain, and she's always willing to be there when someone is going through a difficult time. Not one to lose her temper, she rarely gets involved in arguments, though you would be surprised by her excellent fighting skills.
She has excellent balance, which makes the fact that she is a terrible hunter rather surprising. Quick and nimble on her paws, she fits in perfectly with Heatherclan. With a love for the open moors and the wind, she sometimes says she's going out to collect herbs just as an excuse to enjoy the fresh air.
Despite her fierce loyalty to the Warrior Code, she knows deep inside that she has loved before even after being made a Medicine Cat. However, she does not regret the feelings she had for that certain cat, and she has accepted that they never could have been together anyway. Now, she looks upto him for guidance, knowing that she can never be considered as anything more than the tom's apprentice.
History: Born into Heatherclan, Snowkit had an older sister, Daisypaw. Daisypaw was always very cheerful, so it was never hard for the two to get along well. Snowkit was shyer than her older sister, but she enjoyed her company nonetheless. Their parents, Sunshadow and Racingfleet, were energetic and always took Snowkit outside. She grew to love the wind-swept territory, and when she went outside one day, she stumbled across the Medicine Cat's Den.
She was drawn in by the numerous herbs, and when the Medicine Cat, Branchfall, spotted her, he asked if she wanted to become his apprentice.
At 6 moons, Snowpaw took Branchfall on as her mentor, and she was always very eager to learn about the healing arts. The two were very close, and she looked up to him as an older brother, seeing as he had still been rather young when she was born. He helped her overcome her shy nature, and she learned to look at life from everyone's point of view.
When she was 8 moons old, she and Branchfall were out collecting goldenrod when a fox took them by surprise. Having not yet been taught any fighting skills, she was ordered to stand back, and her mentor took on the creature with little stress. When the fox went off running, she was in awe and asked that he teach her how to fight so skillfully.
Branchfall began giving her extra training, and she did her best to reach his skill level. At 14 moons, she received her Medicine Cat name, Snowrain.
Branchfall was proud of her, and the smile and nod he gave her is the sweetest memory she carries with her.
While the two went with a border patrol to check on the Onyxclan borders and to gather some catmint they spotted earlier, a twoleg monster veered off the path, spinning out of control. The other warriors scattered, but Snowrain, tangled in the plants, was stuck right in its path. She didn't remember much of what happened next, but she faintly recalled her mentor grabbing her and tossing her out of the way. The throw sent her unconcious, and when she awoke, she stumbled over to her mentor's body, finally finding him through the wreckage.
He told her that he would be fine and that he had only hurt his shoulder, and she and the other warriors brought him back to camp. Though the wound luckily proved not to be fatal, it also became known to all of Heatherclan, including Branchfall, that the tom would never be able to hunt or fight again. While his injury slowly sapped his strength, Snowrain stuck right by her mentor's side, never leaving him. On those days when he was so weak that he was unable to even leave the den, she would go and gather herbs to help restore his strength, and it was during this time that she realized that she saw him as more than a mentor.
Realizing she had fallen for the tom, she was furious with herself for being distracted with her differing emotions.
However, she finally came to accept that she would always feel that way towards him, and she came across the conclusion that even if they could never be together, and even if he didn't feel the same towards her, that she was content just working alongside him as a Medicine Cat.
When Snowrain was 20 moons old and Branchfall was 31 Moons in turn, a Green-cough epidemic hit Heatherclan, and despite her best efforts, Branchfall was one of the victims who did not recover. Grief-stricken by the loss of her mentor and one-sided love, Snowrain even once considered commiting suicide; convinced that she couldn't serve her clan without him.
However, she reminded herself that it was her duty as Medicine Cat to take care of her clan, and she knew that it was what Branchfall would have wanted. She worked to help her clan recover from the plague, and she swore on her mentor's spirit that she would never stop caring for Heatherclan until she reached Starclan.
Even now, Snowrain still blames herself for Branchfall's death. She knows that if she had not gotten caught in the plants those seasons ago, than Branchfall wouldn't have gotten hurt protecting her. She is convinced that if he had been in good condition, than he might've survived the epidemic.
She has made it her job to heal her clanmates and always be there for them the way Branchfall was always there for her, and she sees this as a way of repaying her debt towards him, or maybe as an apology for being the cause of his death.
